The new 2-3 story College Center Building will connect to Parking Lot A and B. It will include conference rooms, event spaces, recreational spaces, and informal areas for student groups. This building will be designed around meeting students’ daily needs and activities – a place to connect with friends, pursue extracurricular passions, and be active members of the Chabot College community. The project will include the demolition of existing Building 200. The project consists of, but is not limited to, the following elements and programs: Information Desk; Food Service/Cafeteria; Student Life and Leadership (includes cross/multi-cultural center, clubs and e-sports); Student Health & Wellness Center; Support Amenities (Including Meditation Space and Lactation Room). Site work will include paving, signage, landscaping, existing underground utilities relocation and exterior pathways to connect to the existing college circulation system or to replace existing pathways and include outdoor collaboration spaces.
