Grant funding to offset infrastructure upgrade costs necessary to connect an eligible public-sector distributed solar facility to the electric distribution system.

- Coalinga’s UWMP reports AMI modernization and plans to continue meter replacement to full cellular-read conversion. - FY 2024–25: ~2,100 customer meters replaced with cellular-read meters to improve meter accuracy and monitoring. - 2025 distribution system water loss was ~299 MG (about 23% of potable water produced).
- Electric utility requested a $6,000,000 Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) loan for the electric system. - AMI is projected to deliver $4,000,000 in savings over 10 years. - AMI would replace monthly manual reads with 15-minute interval meter reads. - RFQ for the AMI system is expected to launch in October with construction potentially starting by late 2027.
