The construction of the improvements at the Telfair County Recreation Park including +/- 525 LF of 18" RCP storm drain pipe and structures +/- 596 SY of 4" thick concrete, +/- 13,792 SF of seal coat and striping of the existing parking lot, outdoor basketball court, four pickleball courts, renovations to multiple onsite buildings, 30’x24’ split face block bathroom building and septic system, new grassed Tee Ball fields, +/-1,190 LF of black vinyl coated chain link fence, sod, bleachers, Custom overhead tie back Canopy Net, Batting Cage on 65’x70’ concrete slab, and other improvements.

Contract No. 1 – General Prime Construction for the construction of interior improvements including indirect sports lighting integrated with interior light-reflective liner system, and other interior specialties. Replacement of 12-foot tall perimeter wall protection screening Install light-reflective interior liner system over and around existing steel structure and roof-hung indirectly facing LED lights at each of (4) existing tennis courts, as part of an integrated lighting system. Removal and replacement of column protection pads at steel columns. Replacement of (3) sections of divider curtains between the (4) existing tennis courts, As an Alternate Bid. No 1. Add interior insulation between the reflective liner panel and the existing steel substrates, as an Alternate Bid. General project management, meetings, schedule control, and project reporting. Contract No. 2 – Electrical Prime Construction for the construction of interior improvements including indirect sports lighting integrated with interior light-reflective liner system, and other interior specialties, to meet Substantial Completion and Final Completion in accordance with the contractors bid but Substantial Completion shall not be later than October 2, 2026; Remove existing fluorescent tube lights. Provide new LED indirect LED light fixtures, including installation of related conduits and conductors and controls. Contract 1 includes Alternate Bid 1 – Divider Curtains Contract 1 includes Alternate Bid 2 – Interior Insulation Bids are requested for the following Contract: General Construction Contract 1 and Electrical Construction Contract 2 and a Combined Contract 3.

The project consists of a new 215,000 SF K-8 school on an existing site. The work includes: earthwork, underground utilities, paving, play courts, landscape, irrigation, fencing, gates, concrete, masonry, structural steel, roofing, sealants, waterproofing, spray insulation, doors, frames & hardware, overhead doors, windows, gypsum wall board assemblies, acoustical ceilings, acoustical wall panels, resilient flooring, tile flooring, athletic flooring, carpeting, painting, visual display boards, signage, toilet compartments, toilet accessories, lockers, aluminum walkway covers, flagpoles, stage curtains, food service specialties, athletic equipment, modular casework, laboratory casework, telescoping stands, elevator, fire sprinklers, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and low voltage systems.

Install erosion controls in compliance with State requirements. b. Remove existing basketball court material and dispose of at an approved asphalt recycling facility. c. Scarify existing subbase, install and compact processed gravel as necessary to adjust grades. d. Install and compact HMA dense binder course (1-1/2”) and HMA 3/8” top course (1-1/2”). e. Install textured acrylic color surfacing and line painting for basketball courts (see Section 2). f. Final restoration to disturbed areas shall consist of 4” of loam and seed. g. Contractor shall protect the existing chain link fence post foundations. The existing chain link fence will be taken down and protected (by others) prior to construction. Any damage to the existing fence or its foundations shall be repaired by the contractor at no additional cost to the Owner. h. Contractor shall protect and retain the existing hoops, backboards, and uprights. Any damage components shall be repaired by the contractor at no additional cost to the Owner.
