Phase I of the expansion includes constructing a new, approximately 31,000-square-foot addition on the east side of the Olson Performing Arts Center, to address critical educational and community needs. The addition will include state-of-the-art dance and large ensemble rehearsal studios, a large music ensemble rehearsal space, and a flexible black box theatre. These upgrades address accreditation requirements, support an increase in undergraduate enrollment in dance and theatre, and create a dynamic, inviting environment for both students and the wider community. This phase also includes site preparation, utility upgrades, and enabling work, including the addition of fire suppression to unprotected areas within the existing building.
