The Department of Energy (via Pacific Northwest National Laboratory) posted a Special Notice offering technology transfer/license opportunities for ASSORT (Aviation Security Screening Optimizer for Risk and Throughput). PNNL is seeking companies interested in exclusive or non-exclusive license rights to commercialize, manufacture, and market the ASSORT aviation security simulation platform; the technology transfer program does not provide federal funding. Interested commercial entities must submit inquiries by the posted deadline (March 2026) to pursue license rights and commercialization agreements.

The U.S. Secret Service (USSS) issued a Sources Sought / Request for Information seeking industry input on dedicated fixed-wing aviation support assets (charter/lease/contractor-owned) to enhance operational effectiveness, mission readiness, and rapid deployment capabilities. The RFI requests detailed information on fleet capabilities, maintenance status, compliance with FAA/TSA regulations, experience in the National Capital Region, security protocols, and logistical support for rapid deployment or emergency missions. Responses are requested by Jan 12, 2026 and should be emailed to the provided USSS contacts.

The U.S. Embassy in Lima (INL) is soliciting vendors to provide Jet A-1 aviation fuel and establish a BPA for fuel acquisition; vendors must be registered with Osinergmin and SUNAT and have at least 10 years of Jet A-1 distribution experience in Peru. The BPA is for one year with an optional additional year and an estimated cumulative ceiling not to exceed $350,000; the solicitation includes technical and regulatory compliance requirements and delivery/operations responsibilities. The solicitation is posted on SAM.gov with a public PDF attachment and is currently Active.

Hughes Technical Center issued Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) Screening Information Request 692M15-25-R-00004 soliciting white papers and proposals for aviation research topics. The BAA was posted in December 2024 and remains open, with a response deadline of December 2, 2029 at 5:00 PM EST; the BAA will be valid through December 4, 2034. Primary performance is at Atlantic City International Airport (Atlantic City, NJ) and proposals should follow the white-paper and two-volume submission instructions described in the solicitation.

The property includes approximately 105,750 sq ft of aviation land and 3,481 sq ft of office/hangar space and is expected to be available within ~90 days after board and council approvals. TRB’s Airport Cooperative Research Program seeks a contractor to develop guidance for implementing and running Safety Management Systems (SMS) at small-hub, non-hub, and general aviation airports. The work will synthesize best practices, templates, tools, and lessons learned to support compliance with FAA’s Part 139 SMS rule and to help airports that voluntarily adopt SMS. The project focuses on practical deliverables to assist resource-constrained airports with planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of SMS.

The Town of West Jefferson is soliciting qualified private engineering firms to prepare a Preliminary Engineering Report and provide Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services for a utilities construction project supporting GE Aviation, contingent on federal and state grant awards (EDA and NC Industrial Development Fund). The project scope includes upgrades to the wastewater treatment plant, a new sewer pump station, and a new water supply well, with an estimated project budget of $6,147,412. Firms must be registered in North Carolina, have licensed Professional Engineers, maintain at least $1,000,000 in professional liability insurance, and meet other contracting and registration requirements.

The site includes ~105,750 sq ft of aviation land with 3,481 sq ft of office and hangar space and is expected to be available within 90 days after approval; the current occupant is MPG Inc. The lease award is subject to approval by LAWA’s Board of Airport Commissioners and the City Council and submissions are due on Jan 29, 2026.
