Aviation and Missile R&D BAA

The missions of the Missile Defense and Long-Range Precision Fires programs are to modernize, maintain and sustain Army Missile Technologies as a dominant component of the land force's precision strike, close combat, and air defense capabilities. This mission comprises critical technology discovery and development programs, to include Long-Range Precision Fires (LRPF) and hypersonic missiles, advanced launchers for Fires and Air Defense, close combat systems, and air defense systems including missiles, radars and fire control/mission planning, and also counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) capabilities, that enable the Army to counter and defeat increasingly sophisticated threats in multi-domain operations. TDD accomplishes its mission by: Providing DEVCOM Aviation & Missile Center with resources and capabilities to support; Army future Research and Development (R&D) Portfolio requirements.
