Acoustic Water Leak Detection RFPs

The City of Kelowna is seeking proposals from qualified suppliers to provide in-service water pipeline inspection and leak detection services for the South Irrigation Watermain. The work covers approximately 6.3 km of municipal non-potable water transmission main (south section ~4.5 km; north section ~1.8 km) with diameters ranging from approximately 450 mm to 750 mm. Proposals must be submitted via the City's Bonfire procurement portal by July 20, 2026, and the findings will guide the City's utility planning, maintenance scheduling, risk management, and future capital planning.

Qualified firms are sought for municipal water distribution system leak detection and condition assessment services, including acoustic leak detection, leak verification, pressure analysis, GIS integration, and condition assessment, to identify leaks, estimate water loss, and prioritize repairs.

Conduct a comprehensive Leak Detection Survey on potable water main within the City, approx 64 miles of water main that are 24" or less in size. Work includes planning, field investigation, acoustic leak surveying, data collection, correlation, leak pinpointing, documentation, and reporting.

The American Samoa Power Authority (ASPA) seeks satellite-based leak detection services using remote sensing technology to identify treated water leaks across 200 linear miles of water infrastructure and reduce non-revenue water.

The work includes relocation of approximately 310 linear feet of 6- and 8-inch pipe at six locations, replacement of six isolation valves, and abatement of existing asbestos cement pipe; the listing shows a duration of about 90 calendar days and an estimated value in the aggregator listing (~$738,779). Provide water valve leak mitigation. When performing maintenance on a pure water fluid system, valves are commonly used for work area isolation. Valves that have been in-service can leak past their seats. See attached file.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL), operated by Fluor Marine Propulsion (FMP) for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), is soliciting information on innovative solutions for water valve leak mitigation during the operation of its pure water systems. The work includes various maintenance access and pipeline isolation improvements along the existing Brine Discharge Pipeline (16" to 30" diameters). Construction generally includes the installation of 4 pipeline/access improvements along Goetz Road, 2 pipeline/access improvements along Winter Circle, 4 pipeline/access improvements along the Salt Creek channel and within the Salt Creek Trail, and 2 pipeline/access improvements located inside the District's Sun City Regional Water Reclamation Facility property. The work also includes cleaning of approx. 13,140 LF of the existing Brine Discharge Pipeline.

The Brine Pipeline Access Improvements project involves various maintenance access and pipeline isolation improvements along the existing Brine Discharge Pipeline. The work includes the installation of pipeline/access improvements along Goetz Road, Winter Circle, Salt Creek channel, and within the Salt Creek Trail, as well as cleaning of approximately 13,140 linear feet of the existing Brine Discharge Pipeline. The project is located in the City of Menifee, Riverside County, California, and is a Small Business Set Aside acquisition conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 14 Sealed Bid.

Project generally consists of: installation of approx. 27,500 LF of new 36" water main and associated fittings, valves, and appurtenances. The project also includes construction of a point of delivery site with a control valve and meter.
