Traffic Signal Management System RFPs

This RFQ solicits design-build services to install ADA-compliant curb ramps at multiple intersections and to install at least one traffic signal in Randolph County, North Carolina, under NCDOT Division of Highways standards. The project requires qualified contractors experienced in highway construction and traffic-signal installation, with electronic proposals submitted through NCDOT’s approved bidding platform. The Town of Wallingford is soliciting an on-call electrical contractor to provide traffic control signal maintenance, routine repairs, and 24-hour emergency repairs, including cabinet maintenance for specified solid-state controllers. The procurement is issued as an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for contract ID 25-128 with a period of performance from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2029. The solicitation is currently open with a response deadline set for May 29, 2026.

Work includes construction asphalt/concrete speed cushions and speed tables over existing pavement. Install thermoplastic chevrons, diamonds, and pavement marking as necessary. Install advance warning and advisory signs at each location, including bases, posts, rivets, etc. Project is a contract for construction in multiple phases.

Work includes installing speed tables, speed bumps, corresponding signage, and pavement planing.

Provide traffic control management services.

Project consists of safety improvements, traffic signal system by installing new signals, incorporating flashing yellow arrows for left-turn movements, and upgrading pedestrian signal equipment. Additional improvements include upgrading of ADA-compliant curb ramps, and targeted crosswalk illumination to improve pedestrian visibility. These enhancements are intended to increase overall intersection safety by improving signal visibility, reducing conflict points, and providing safer, more accessible pedestrian crossings.

Provision of intelligent transit signal priority system (ITSP).

The City of Olathe is soliciting bids to replace the existing traffic signal at the intersection of Santa Fe and Buchanan Street, including conduits, controllers, and mast arms. The project is part of the city's 2024 Traffic Signal Project and aims to replace equipment that has reached the end of its useful life. Bids must be submitted through the city's procurement portal by the July 7, 2026 deadline.

Project will involve updating signal timings and signal interconnectivity. Work will include replacing controllers in various locations , and plugging them into the city's new monitoring system. The signal controllers will utilize an adaptor harness that will allow the older, smaller controller cabinets to stay in use. Work will include connecting pairs of intersections and updating the timing schemes using the paired data.

Neighborhood traffic management program phase 8 project. Scope of work includes - 6,834 SF remove concrete (curb, gutter, sidewalk and ramp); 134 CY roadway excavation; 257 CY aggregate base, class 2; 50 TN hot mix asphalt (Type A); 47 TN high friction surface treatment; see attached file.

Texas State University is soliciting competitive proposals for comprehensive game-day traffic management, pedestrian safety control, parking operations, and event transportation coordination services on its San Marcos campus and associated event locations. The solicitation requires bidders to hold dual CTCD/CTCM certification and may cover services across multiple Texas highway districts. Responses are due on June 3, 2026, at 12:00 PM local time.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) is soliciting proposals for a cost-efficient, SNBI-compliant Bridge Management System to manage the state’s bridge inventory and asset decisions. The solicitation was posted May 20, 2026; the deadline for receipt of proposals is July 6, 2026 at 10:00 AM Central Time (2026-07-06T15:00:00Z) and the deadline for submission of questions/objections is June 3, 2026 by 12:00 PM CT.
