The County of Los Angeles Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) is soliciting services for the Community Forestry Management Plan Parks Tree Planting Project to plant 1,600 new trees in unincorporated Los Angeles County across nine County parks and along residential streets and corridors. The selected contractor will provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals to perform tree trimming/removal, tree planting, and irrigation installation and must meet licensing and certified arborist requirements. The project is a collaborative initiative involving DEO, Public Works, Chief Sustainability Office, Public Health, and Parks and Recreation, with an estimated budget of approximately $1.8M–$2.204M and a project duration of six months.

Provide mowing and maintenance services for city-owned parcels and city parks, and greenspaces. Maintain city parcels and/or parks/greenspaces by raking, mowing, and trimming as necessary to maintain a condition which will be acceptable to the city. Grass and weeds will be maintained at a height of 3 inches. Contractor to be responsible for the mowing of all grassy areas, including hand mowing, edge trimming, weed whipping, and leaf blowing. All weeds are to be removed from sidewalks and around shrubs and flower beds. Pecial care should be taken while performing maintenance in areas around benches, playgrounds, grills, artwork, picnic tables, etc. See outside link.

The solicitation was posted on 2025-12-03 and proposals are due by 2026-01-07, with the source posting on the City's vendor portal. Vendors should review the full bid documents on the official vendor portal and contact the City of Charlottesville procurement office for specifications, submission instructions, and any mandatory site visits.

The publication is a full-color, either 8.5"x11" or 8 3/8"x10 7/8" size, 56-page publication on 45# or heavier recycled paper with high post-consumer recycled content. One issue per year (Summer) includes Camps Guide a fugitive glued insert, 24 pages 5.5x8.5". The RFP is sought for three issues per year for one year contract with two one-year City renewal options. First issue of printing for contract will be Summer 2026 issue and files will be ready for printer March 18, 2026.
