The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole-source contract to the Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. for the provision of frozen postmortem human brain tissue specimens. These specimens will support a VA Merit-funded research project led by Dr. Fatemeh Haghighi focused on validating loci associated with suicide risk.
