The program is a 56-hour program that includes 40 hours on the range and 16 hours in a classroom. The MPTC is responsible for training approx., 24,000 law enforcement officers. Every law enforcement officer in the commonwealth is required to qualify annually in firearms/rifles to maintain their certificate.
