Description: It is the mission of the Criminal Justice Academy (CJA/Academy) to foster and uphold prescribed laws and regulations by providing mandated basic and advanced training to law enforcement personnel and maintaining a continuous certification process to ensure that only the most qualified persons are sanctioned by the state to enforce its laws. Effective January 1, 2018, all Basic Law Enforcement Class 1 candidates must have a valid psychological evaluation administered during the pre-employment phase of the hiring process prior to an agency’s offer of employment.
