The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has issued this presolicitation synopsis for P-8A Poseidon aircraft production and Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE). NAVAIR intends to award a sole-source contract modification to The Boeing Company of Seattle, WA, for procurement of up to twenty-one (21) P-8A Poseidon aircraft in FY27, along with NRE to address Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), testing, and software/lab integration. Award will be made under Title 10 U.S.C. §3204(a)(1) (FAR 6.302-1), as Boeing is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the P-8A.
