This project will expand an existing 48,000 SF 63 bed mental health hospital by adding a new 12,800 SF wing. The new wing will consist of two separate units, one with 14 adolescent beds, the other with 8 pediatric beds. The units will has some nursing service spaces, but all patient care areas, including outdoor activity yards will be segregated by age. Additional work to support this construction to include renovated public toilet rooms and drinking fountain, equipment yard, drop-off canopy, improvements to accessible parking and walkways. The area where the existing building connects to the new building will be revised to provide a continuous corridor and to renovate the breakroom to better align with the use.

Seeking for mental health assessment services.

The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through the Department for Public Advocacy, is soliciting proposals for a Capital Mental Health Consultant to provide specialized mental health consultations and training to criminal defense death penalty teams, including case reviews and facilitation of meetings. The contractor will review case materials, develop agendas with lead attorneys, facilitate 2–4 hour case review meetings, assist in planning and recommending mental health training, and participate in regional and distance learning, with services capped at approximately 133 hours. The anticipated period of performance is July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2028, and bidders must meet minimum qualifications including a Master’s Degree in Social Work and five years’ relevant experience.

Hhsc is seeking applications to establish contract(s) for the provision of home and community-based services - adult mental health (hcbs-amh) for adults with a diagnosis of serious mental illness and have a history of at least one of the following additional criteria: long-term psychiatric hospitalization(s); frequent arrests and psychiatric crisis; and frequent emergency department (ed) visits and psychiatric crisis.

The goal is to expand access to high-quality, evidence-based mental health supports that promote student well-being, reduce barriers to learning, and strengthen school-family-community partnerships.
