Aransas County

County is looking to add a third simulcast station to our network of two (2) existing site stations on our three (3) radio tower locations. This third-station site is located. The towers exist at all three site locations with equipment rooms and backup power already in place. The bid will be to provide connectivity to the countys existing k-core and prime site via microwave. The solution is to include: three (3) conventional base stations with combining equipment, antennae assemblies and microwave equipment. County currently operates on vhf but also has 800- capability as backup. Both will be operational at all three (3) site stations. A frequency coordination must also be completed by the contractor to ensure radio systems can operate interfering with each other. This involves identifying and choosing compatible frequencies for the various devices, such as microphones, in- ear monitors, and two-way radios, to prevent interference. Current equipment is motorola but county is looking for the best value solution.
