2 pre-engineered metal building - vehicle integration building.

The Alaska Aerospace Corporation (AAC) is seeking contractors to design, supply, transport and install two Vehicle Integration Buildings (pre-engineered metal buildings) at the Pacific Spaceport Complex – Alaska (Kodiak). The work includes design and installation of two identical pre-engineered metal buildings engineered for severe Kodiak Island conditions (high wind, snow, seismic design, and corrosion mitigation), and compliance with applicable codes and PE-reviewed structural calculations. The solicitation includes design drawings and an ITB/solicitation document listed in the notice attachments and is a procurement (not a grant).

Work includes to conduct site improvements to address clearing and grading of building pad for 60' x 60' pre-engineered building. Construction of slab on grade concrete pad, setting anchor bolts, interior upfit of the pre-engineered building to address installation of the mechanical ventilation system and unit heaters, placement of three overhead coiling doors, electrical power and overhead lighting.

Construction of two (2) buildings at the project site. Building One is a structure to house the administrative functions of the Owner and Building Two is a structure to house the maintenance operations of the Owner. In addition to the structures, both buildings require full electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing systems. Site work includes foundation excavation, connection of public utilities at the street, and regrading of the site.

Project scope consists of an approximately 8,800 SF single story building with a conventional spread footing foundation system and a hardened shell exterior.

Work may include, but is not limited to, painting of building interiors and exteriors, structural elements, railings, fencing, equipment, and other facility-related assets.

Administration building sitework.

Construction of the public safety building.

Clean up after fire department training and remaining demolition.
