Key strategic goals include enhancing community health and vitality, promoting economic development and revitalization, fostering sustainability through environmental and energy efficiency initiatives, maintaining fiscal strength, improving communication and emergency preparedness, expanding commercial and residential development, initiating affordable housing programs, and investing in recreational, cultural, and historical assets.

The Huntington Town Board convened to discuss and vote on Resolution Number 94, which proposed renaming the Dix Hills Water District Administration Building in memory of Sheila Saks, a longtime Dix Hills resident and community advocate. The resolution aimed to honor Saks' contributions to the Dix Hills Water District and her tireless efforts to improve the quality of life for residents.
