The work generally consists of connecting the new low pressure pump system to the existing sewer lateral and connecting to the existing panel for approximately 97 homes. Plumbing Connections: Hand dig to find the existing sewer line between home and existing Air Vacuum pit, cut and connect the existing sewer line to the grinder station, and cap remaining pipe to abandon in place. Run new lateral assumed 4-inch PVC to grinder pump station up to a maximum of 20 feet of Schedule 40 PVC, per home. Cleanouts will be required at all redirected gravity laterals. Backfill existing and proposed line with soils/fill dirt. Topsoil seed and straw all excavations. Electrical Connections: Installation of one (1) 30 Amp, 120/240 V, 4 wire circuit for grinder pump. This includes all inspection fees and coordination with County Building Inspection, upgrades to existing electrical distribution equipment where required, to include Buck Boosters, install circuit from the building to the backboard/control panel, installation of safety switch, and wiring from safety switch to pump controller. The breakers inside the pump controller (pump and alarm) shall be left in the open position upon completion. The pump control panel mount and backboard shall be constructed of PT lumber to hold the electrical panel and disconnect for each property (Installation of Pump Control Panel and Disconnect to the PT Lumber Mount by others), stand to include two (2) 4’ x 4” PT legs and three (3) ¾” x 5” PT decking boards. Backfill all excavated areas with soils/fill dirt. Topsoil seed and straw all excavations.
