Repairs to the interior moisture damage to patient rooms and other identified areas within the Carter County Healthcare Facility. The project involves water intrusion and repairs to the interior of the occupied Critical Access Hospital. Construction of/to a health care facility, and OSHA regulations. Identified areas for repair include Lab 1123, Room 1302, Room 1303, Room 1304 and Room 1305. A recent rain resulted in one leak in administration. Also included in this project: installing a ceiling fan in the atrium (second floor) to address heat stratification, an item that was value-engineered out of the original construction plans; adding window film to reduce solar heat gain and increase security in the second-floor PT room; investigating a destratification fan for entry heat stratification; and replacing the exterior kitchen door, which does not align properly in its frame, allowing air infiltration.
