Roof Replacement - 401 9th Street RFP

Description: Roof Sections 1 & 2: Modified Bitumen (Base Bid): (1) Remove existing EPDM roof system down to the existing insulation surface. (2) Remove and replace wet insulation with like material. (3) Install additional polyisocyanurate insulation, mechanically fastened to the wood deck, to meet or exceed applicable R-value requirements; identify insulation thickness and resulting R-value in the bid. (4) Install 1/2" wood fiber recovery board in a solid mopping of Type IV hot asphalt. (5) Install a new modified built-up roof system consisting of one modified base sheet and one mineral-surfaced modified cap sheet, installed in a solid mopping of Type IV hot asphalt. (6) Install a new two-ply base flashing system consisting of one modified base sheet and one mineral-surfaced cap sheet. Install ice/water shield at all flashing termination points and cover perimeter wood blocking to provide a watertight condition. (7) Install new 24-gauge sheet metal at perimeters, flashings, counterflashing’s, coping caps, and other locations needed to complete the system.
