Description: Douglas County Government's Department of Community Development is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to rehabilitate the saloon, barn, and bunkhouse at Prairie Canyon Ranch in Franktown. Work includes foundation stabilization and roof rehabilitation for the saloon, siding rehabilitation and door restoration for the barn, and foundation stabilization and exterior rehabilitation for the bunkhouse, using State Historic Fund grant monies. East Palm Canyon Bridge Project
The base bid Work includes widening the existing East Palm Canyon Drive Bridge (including architectural treatment and lighting), CV Sync conduit installation, constructing new curb, gutter, and sidewalk, constructing a driveway and curb ramps, constructing a bus pad, constructing retaining walls, a new soundwall at the mobile home park, utility coordination including SCE capacitor bank relocation, storm drain improvements, improvements to the Araby parking lot, rehabilitating the pedestrian bridge deck and railings adjacent to the bridge, striping, and pavement rehabilitation. The add alternate Work includes additional cold plane and overlay limits, water valve adjustments, survey monument reestablishment, and striping and pavement markings to match the existing layout. These items are listed in Bid Schedule B, which may or may not be awarded. No construction equipment shall be permitted in the Palm Canyon Wash during the Casey’s June Beetle (CJB) flight season from March 1 through June 30, and all Work shall be restricted to daylight hours. Refer to BIO-14, included Environmental Documentation and special provisions. All items must be submitted electronically. The bid opening will be conducted entirely online.

Boulder Canyon Trail Repair Project
The Boulder County Parks and Open Space Department (BCPOS) is soliciting proposals from qualified and experienced construction contractors for the repair and reconstruction of a damaged segment of the Boulder Canyon Trail and its associated creekside slope protection wall. The project site is located downstream of the intersection of HW 119 and Fourmile Canyon Drive, immediately east of the HW 119 trail underpass. The affected trail section sustained significant scour, creating a substantial void beneath the finished trail surface as it approaches an existing bridge abutment. In addition, the creekside slope containment structure at this location has been compromised and requires full, permanent reconstruction. Contractors must incorporate protective measures for two existing City of Boulder waterlines that run beneath and through the project area. BCPOS seeks professional construction services to perform a permanent repair of the damaged trail segment and reconstruct the associated slope protection structure. The intent of this project is to ensure public safety and to restore long term structural integrity and reliability of both the trail and adjacent bridge infrastructure.
