MEP - HVAC System Renovation RFP

Description: In general, the work consists of: a remodel and renovation of the HVAC system to install a new Air handling system with the existing basement mechanical room located in the northeast corner of the building. Currently the existing single AHU in the basement is the single source of ventilation air and cooling for the building, with space reheat coils providing the final air tempering. The building contains laboratories including BSL3 spaces. The new air handling unit will be connected to the existing building HVAC system to provide a N+1 redundant supply fan configuration.

MEP - Sitewide Renovation and Maintenance
In general, the work consists of: a comprehensive site and building maintenance and improvement project at the Historic Site. The Council House and Court House buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places and therefore the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties apply. Historic materials that are intact and/or repairable will be maintained and preserved in place. See attached files and outside link.

MEP - Shower Room Renovation
In general, the work consists of: the remodel of existing shower rooms, laundry rooms, and bathrooms of "A" & "B" buildings at facility. Bathrooms and shower rooms will be reconfigured to allow a singer user in a secure environment. This includes tamper resistant and anti-ligature fixtures and finishes. Wall and floor tile will be replaced. The plumbing supply, waste and vent piping will be reconfigured. Venhilation and exhaust will be modified to accommodate the remodeled spaces. Ceiling and lights will also be replaced. Bathrooms and showers will need to be remodeled in phases to limit disruption to the facilities safety and security operations. Base Bids will be received as a single lump sum bid for: 2) Fire Protection (Fire Suppression); 3) Plumbing; 4) Mechanical (Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning); and 5) Electrical.
