North Outfall Rehabilitation
The Work will include all necessary labor, supervision, equipment, tools, and materials for the demolition of existing steel pipe supports, protection of the existing ductile iron pipe, installation of new concrete pipe saddles, and coating of exposed pipe, as well as rehabilitation of an existing sanitary sewer manhole. The manhole rehabilitation includes installation of a new precast concrete eccentric cone, fiber reinforced shotcrete placement, concrete surface preparation, and protection of the existing pipe penetration and boot.

CSO Outfall Flow Metering Services approx. 160 miles of sanitary and combined (storm and sanitary) sewers, ranging in size from 4" to 48" in diameter, with approx. 44 miles of the collection system as combined sewer. Eight permitted CSO outfalls remain active in the sewer system, with the pipes ranging in size from 12" to 36". Some regulator manholes have overflow weirs, while some simply have a raised outlet pipe. Six of the outfall pipes have Tideflex inline check valves to prevent backflow.
