Description: CSO Outfall Flow Metering Services approx. 160 miles of sanitary and combined (storm and sanitary) sewers, ranging in size from 4" to 48" in diameter, with approx. 44 miles of the collection system as combined sewer. Eight permitted CSO outfalls remain active in the sewer system, with the pipes ranging in size from 12" to 36". Some regulator manholes have overflow weirs, while some simply have a raised outlet pipe. Six of the outfall pipes have Tideflex inline check valves to prevent backflow.
