Blue Line Lake Street/Midtown Renovation Construction

Description: The Metropolitan Council is conducting a pre-solicitation contractor roundtable meeting in advance of a future formal solicitation. Contractors interested in potentially bidding this project as a prime contractor or participating as a subcontractor are encouraged to attend. The meeting will provide an overview of the project scope and a recap of the two previous solicitations. The discussion will focus on how to make the project more attractive to bidders, and will allow contractors and subcontractors to share their input about the contract requirements, schedule, market conditions, and procurement methods. Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions, better understand the anticipated work, and identify information that would be helpful in preparing for the future solicitation. The Metropolitan Council intends to solicit bids for this project in Spring 2027 for a Spring 2028 construction start. The pre-solicitation roundtable meeting will be held at Metro Transit’s North Loop Garage, Room 104, from 10 to 11 AM on Monday, November 16, 2026. North Loop Garage is located at 600 North 8th Avenue, Minneapolis, MN, 55411. Parking is available in the building’s parking ramp. Ramp entrances are located on North 8th Avenue and on North 10th Avenue. The site is also accessible by transit via METRO D Line, METRO C Line, or bus routes 5 and 22. Findings of this meeting and any individual interviews will be summarized (without vendor names attributed to specific comments), and the attendance list will be made public.
