Task descriptions must be definite, realistic, and clearly stated. Use the phrase "the contractor shall" whenever the work statement expresses a provision that is binding. Use "should" or "may" whenever it is necessary to express a declaration of purpose. Use "will" in cases where no offeror requirement is involved (e.G., power will be supplied by the government. Use active voice in describing work to be performed. Do not use acronyms or abbreviations without first defining them. This RFP is for the Catalyst Research and Development (R&D) Voucher Program Pilot, Round 2, offering vouchers up to $40,000 to New Jersey-based early-stage, for-profit companies. These vouchers subsidize access to R&D equipment, facilities, and related services at participating core facilities to accelerate technology development.

The Advanced Metal Castings Research & Development (R&D) Requirement Program (Formerly Castings) is a DLA R&D procurement to reduce backorders for items containing metal castings and to improve quality, productivity, technology, and business practices within the metal casting sector. It solicits projects in two primary focus areas — procurement solutions to streamline supply-chain and source-selection practices, and manufacturing technologies to advance casting processes and efficiency — and also encourages workforce development activities. The contracting activity is DCSO Philadelphia (Defense Logistics Agency), NAICS 541715, with place of performance in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Seeks research and development (R&D) for Air Force airbase systems.

Advanced Metal Castings Research & Development (R&D) Requirement Program, requirements to (1) structure, execute, and coordinate projects that develop innovative solutions that can reduce the disproportionate number of DLA backorders, or unfilled orders for items that contain metal castings, and (2) to improve the quality, productivity, technology, and business practices of the metal casting industry.

The over-arching strategy involves the use of this 5-year BAA to quickly and efficiently execute R&D to identify, explore, and demonstrate new technologies and capabilities that will help enable CWMD and stakeholders to prevent, protect against, respond to, and mitigate nuclear, chemical, radiological, and biological threats and incidents. This strategy will provide DHS an acquisition tool with the flexibility to solicit proposals and make awards to provide innovative solutions to countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), as ever-changing urgent operational issues and capability gaps are identified. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Multi X Office (MXO) issued Solicitation DARPA-PS-26-115 seeking revolutionary research proposals for topics not covered by existing MXO programs or other DARPA solicitations. DARPA anticipates funding multiple proposals on a rolling basis and the solicitation is for applied research/ R&D (NAICS 541715, PSC AC12) — it is a contract solicitation, not a grant. Responses are due June 4, 2027, and the solicitation was posted May 20, 2026.

DARPA is actively soliciting awardable solutions that exercise the early-stage NGMM 3D-ADK to enable mixed-material 3D-heterogeneously integrated microsystem design using commercial EDA tools. Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis via the ERIS Marketplace and the Government may make one or more awards prior to the notice closing date. The period of performance is April 16, 2026 through July 31, 2026 and the response deadline is July 31, 2026 at 7:59 PM EDT.

Extramural biomedical research and development.

The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Energy, issued this Sources Sought notice on July 9, 2026 to solicit industry information on capabilities for Technical Research, Engineering, and Development Services. It is anticipated as a follow-on contract to existing Technical Research, Engineering, and Development (TREDS) work performed primarily at Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico. Responses were due by July 23, 2026 and the solicitation is not a grant program.

The Acquisition Modernization Technology Research (AMTR) Program, established at the beginning of FY22, assesses acquisition and procurement processes, identifies and prioritizes areas that would benefit from IT modernization or advanced technologies, evaluates technical requirements, and pursues future research efforts. RFP for PBJ Facility Improvements at the Mississippi Center for Education and Research.

NAVSEA, on behalf of the Electric Ships Office (PMS 320, organizationally a part of the Program Executive Office - Ships) is interested in White Papers for long and short term Research and Development (R&D) projects that offer potential for advancement and improvements in current and future shipboard electric power and energy systems at the major component, subsystem and system level. The mission of PMS 320 is to develop and provide smaller, simpler, more affordable, and more capable ship power systems to the Navy by defining open architectures, developing common components, and focusing Navy, industry, and academia investments. PMS 320 will provide leadership of the developments identified as part of this BAA, will direct the transition of associated technologies developed by the Office of Naval Research (ONR), and will manage the technology portfolio represented by Program Element (PE) 0603573N (Advanced Surface Machinery Systems) for transition into existing and future Navy ships.

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is soliciting proposals under this Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) to support research for the Office of Infrastructure Research and Development. The BAA seeks a variety of solutions to address strategic objectives in highway infrastructure research, with proposals accepted during individual calls throughout the life of the announcement. This is not a grant program but a solicitation for research and development proposals conducted in accordance with FAR 6.101(b)(3)(ii) and FAR 35.102.

The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Foundational Technologies Directorate, issued Solicitation FA2394-26-R-B004 seeking manufacturing technology research and development to strengthen defense manufacturing capabilities and transition new manufacturing capabilities to factory or depot floors. The solicitation requests white papers aligned with Air Force high-impact technology domains under NAICS 541715 and PSC AC13 and estimates project award ranges of roughly $500,000 to $10,000,000; evaluation is Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). Awards may require SECRET facility security clearances and compliance with ITAR/EAR; the opportunity was posted on 2026-06-23 and is open with a response deadline of 2031-06-22 16:00 EDT.

For the continued R&D of overt security features in banknotes, utilizing a Justification and Approval in accordance with FAR subpart 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) and (B). The intended contractor is Leonhard Kurz Stiftung & Co. KG.

Seeking capability statements from qualified and capable sources to provide technical research, engineering, development, and operational support under the TREDS III program.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command—Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) posted a presolicitation (Notice ID W912CH-25-R-A031) to obtain research and development services for military-grade fuels and lubricants to support the Ground Vehicle Systems Center. The notice states the Army intends to negotiate sole-source under FAR 6.302-1 with Southwest Research Institute and is explicitly a notice of intent (not a request for proposals or competitive solicitation). The posting provides no response deadline, identifies PIEE links as the primary attachments for vendor access, and lists an inactive date of Jan 20, 2027.
