The meeting included the presentation of the annual District Awards, where the Board recognized outstanding staff members, community partners, retirees, and employees reaching years of service milestones. The board also approved personnel updates, the acceptance of community gifts, and out-of-district travel requests for student groups.

The meeting featured a performance and presentation by the Fort Stevens Bell Choir and the principal of Fort Stevens Elementary, who provided an overview of the school's educational programs, mission, and community engagement. Key discussion topics included the school's SOAR (Self-regulate, Overcome challenges, Act with integrity, and Respect) principles, attendance challenges, academic performance results, the role of the whole child facilitator, and the active involvement of the Booster Club. Additionally, the Superintendent introduced new administrators joining the team for the upcoming school year.

This School Improvement Plan outlines how Fort Stevens Elementary is advancing Learning, Belonging, and Community through school leadership and collaboration with staff, students, and families. Key focus areas include enhancing Learning through attendance, Tier I instruction, MTSS, PLCs, and student engagement; fostering Belonging by cultivating a culture of dignity, managing student behavior, and expanding student leadership and creative opportunities; and strengthening Community through input and shared ownership, inclusive two-way communication, and family partnership in student learning.
