The Finance Committee held a meeting to conduct an interview with representatives from CLA regarding their potential services as an audit firm. Key actions included approving recommendations for the allocation of the FY25 Trust Fund surplus, adopting a revised FY2026 budget, and authorizing the recapitalization of feasibility and technical assistance pools for housing and conservation programs. Additionally, the committee discussed creating a reserve for farm projects in the event of federal funding unavailability and explored future options for a conservation stewardship fund.
The committee reviewed the application and review process, including the total number of applications and available funding. Supplemental information regarding funding sources and grant requirements was presented. Following an executive session to evaluate applications, the committee recommended advancing a slate of applications with a total proposed funding amount of $814,623.00 to be awarded to 21 businesses, pending final approval from the Board Chair.
