The board discussed and took action on several property abatement applications. It voted to deny real estate and personal property abatement applications filed by FirstLight Hydro. Regarding 28 Park Street, the application was denied after review determined the sales comparison provided by the applicant fell outside the revaluation timeframe and inspection was not deemed warranted.

The Board reviewed and approved numerous property tax abatements. Several abatements were based on changes identified during cyclical inspections, while others were granted based on Chapter 61A applications for land. Additionally, the Board approved adjustments for specific properties, including an abatement for a conference center lift and a valuation adjustment for a property under renovation. An abatement was also processed to correct a personal property account following a corporate merger.

The board authorized and notarized a Chapter Land Amended Lien for a specific property, resulting in the exclusion of 2.6 acres from classification. Additionally, the board acknowledged a Notice of Intent regarding Chapter Land for a separate parcel and reviewed a Notice of Filing of Statement Under Informal Procedure regarding a specific legal docket number.

The board reviewed reports from the Health Director, the Nurse, and the Animal/Barn Inspector. A disclosure of a conflict of interest regarding Title 5 enforcement at 4 Burek Drive was accepted, and funds were authorized for outside assistance to address this matter. Discussion took place regarding enforcement actions for unauthorized temporary housing at the Millers Falls Rod & Gun Club. Additionally, the board discussed the planning process for distributing opioid settlement funds and addressed community concerns regarding a mold complaint and the need for a public service announcement concerning vaccines.
