The Town of Albion is seeking qualified bidders to plow the former Albion Elementary School, 20 School Street, Albion, Maine for emergency vehicle access during the upcoming winter season. Plowing/Sanding area to include: · Both entrances/exits off School Street · Area directly in front of the building, including a pass through the parking lot area. · Area to the left of the school to the pass door. · Area to the right of the school going towards the back (the older part of the building), going close to the oil tank and back towards the gate (Main Street). · Area to the back door. · Plowing to start at 2-3 inches · Sand / salt as needed (contractor to supply materials) Shoveling areas to include: · Front double doors (facing School Street) · Door (labeled Kitchen) on the right side of building · Door between the 2 sections of the building on the left side · Door in the rear (facing Main Street) Please refer to the attached plan (locations are not exact) The Contractor shall show proof of the following insurance coverages: General Liability Insurance in the amount of not less than $1,000,000 or such other amount as is established by the Maine Tort Claims Act (14 M.R.S.A. 8101 et seq.) as amended from time to time and Workers' Compensation Insurance in amounts required by Maine law. This is a yearly contract and will be paid out in 7 installments as follows: 10% - November 2025 18% - December 2025 18% - January 2026 18% - February 2026 18% - March 2026 10% - April 2026 8% - upon satisfactory completion of the annual contracted season To be considered, potential bidders must send their bid to the following address before 6:00 pm on November 9,2026.
