Rahway Public Schools

This document outlines new course proposals for the 2026-2027 academic year, including PreAP English 2, Introduction to Film, Grade 7 & 8 Honors Science and Social Studies, AP Precalculus, and AP Business with Personal Finance. The special meeting and board retreat included a presentation on strategic plan development by Jeanne Cleary from NJSBA. The board also participated in board governance training, breaking into groups to discuss finance, facilities, and negotiations. The board discussed board of education goals.

The Rahway Board of Education convened for a caucus meeting, which included an executive session to discuss personnel-related issues and agenda review. The Superintendent presented the Student Safety Data System (SSDS) Period 2 Report for January - June 2025, highlighting changes in incidents compared to the previous year, training programs implemented, and recommended actions. The board also discussed upcoming meeting dates and key elements for the Board Retreat, focusing on board and district goals, action plan review, and community input.
