Procurement guidance and navigation tips.
Lower scores indicate easier procurement processes. Created by Starbridge.
Sole Source: Rare and discouraged—skip. Steer to a cooperative purchase or be ready for a formal bid.
Coops: Ask about using WV statewide contracts, NASPO ValuePoint, MSESC/AEPA, or OMNIA Partners. If coop path is declined, proceed with a formal solicitation (expect local preference considerations). Buyer hasn’t historically used coops, but you can encourage them to explore these procurement programs.
Marion County, WV: Sole source awards are rare. Bypass this path.
