The City Commission meeting included the swearing-in of new Commissioners, followed by the election of the Mayor and Mayor Pro-Tem. The board reviewed an application for 118 W Main St regarding paint colors, but deferred approval pending clarification on awning plans. Another application for 226 W Main St involved paint and awnings, with the applicant withdrawing the paint portion for further research, while the awnings were approved. The approval of minutes from the June 24, 2024 meeting was postponed.

The board approved the original awning and paint request but declined the original signage request, approving a swing style sign instead.
