The council meeting addressed several significant items, including promotions within the police department and a presentation of solar energy initiatives at the Sanford Seacoast Regional Airport. Public hearings were held regarding proposed credit enhancement agreements for LabelTech, LLC and Sumner Properties, LLC, as well as capital improvement projects for the airport. The council discussed amendments to electrical standards and zoning text/map amendments. The City Council met in executive session to consider actions regarding the disposition of 2022 real estate tax liens and to evaluate potential waivers of foreclosure for various properties. Following the session, the council voted to approve the waivers of foreclosure for several specific real estate parcels.
