This project will require clearing, grubbing and temporary grading to install new roadside runoff conveyance structures and a new storm water outfall to Big Gulch Creek. This work will require the removal and replacement of existing pavement and thickened edge as well as the removal of an existing pipe and catch basin that convey roadside runoff to an unnamed tributary of Big Gulch Creek. Contractor to implement temporary erosion and sedimentation control measures, including a stabilized construction entrance. Contractor to provide a temporary stormwater collection and bypass system to convey upstream stormwater around the work area during construction. The project includes the construction of a new 24-inch stormwater pipeline and 6-inch underdrain with cleanout, installation of two new Type 2 catch basins, and construction of a new outfall dissipation pad and gabion basket structure landward of the Big Gulch Creek Ordinary High-Water Level (OHWL). The project also includes the placement of 6-8 logs/large wood pieces within the channel of an adjacent unnamed tributary shown on the Contract Plans, as directed by the City of Mukilteo. This wood placement will require no filling of the channel or anchoring of the wood.
