This Transportation Element provides a 20-year vision for the City of Gig Harbor's transportation system, aiming to support safe and comfortable multi-modal travel through 2044. The 2025 Active Transportation Plan for the City of Gig Harbor aims to promote and expand active transportation opportunities for all ages and abilities. The plan identifies priority projects and policies to improve safety, connectivity, and convenience for nonmotorized travel. Key goals include creating an inviting and accessible transportation system, ensuring smart and efficient planning, effectively connecting local centers to the regional system, promoting financial and environmental sustainability, and fostering community understanding of planning decisions.

This document outlines the City of Gig Harbor's 2026 State Legislative Agenda, adopted via Resolution 1348. The agenda prioritizes key issues for state advocacy, including the development of a Gig Harbor Community Center, improving childcare access, securing fish passage funding, advocating for GMA reform, increasing housing supply, ensuring adequate indigent defense funding, enhancing infrastructure funding, clarifying juvenile access to attorney, protecting state funding for local services, and implementing renter protections. The overall goal is to address matters of great importance to the city and its residents through state legislative efforts.

The Gig Harbor City Council adopted the budget for the 2000 fiscal year. The budget does not exceed the lawful limit of taxation and the estimated expenditures are necessary to carry on the government of Gig Harbor for 2000. The budget includes appropriations for various funds and departments, including General Government, Street Fund, Drug Investigation Fund, Hotel-Motel Fund, Property Acquisition Fund, and others. The ordinance also adopts the 2000 personnel salary schedule.

The ordinance discusses the appropriation of funds from the current expense fund, street fund, and water fund to cover taxes assessed by the Tax Commission of the State of Washington, Excise Division, including audit interest. These funds are intended to cover taxes found due as a result of an audit, as well as taxes expected to become due for the remainder of the calendar year 1953. The ordinance declares an emergency, citing that the need for this appropriation was unforeseen during the town's budget preparation due to legal and administrative interpretations.
