Disturbance must be kept to a minimum; excavate twelve (12)' deep test pits as indicated on the plans. Test pits should be dug such that samples of the strata may be collected at variable depths by the county s consulting engineer; test pits shall be left open to allow time for groundwater to fill the pit for observation and measurement by the engineer.
