The project will consist of removal of the existing six barrel culvert and construction of a new steel girder bridge with a cast in place concrete deck. New bridge abutments and micropiles. Temporary stream diversion and riprap. New aggregate roadway surfacing. Relocation of an existing electrical line. Relocation of existing historic head gates into a new concrete slab. Access to the site is through a gate at the south end of the Holzwarth Historic Site Parking Lot and along the Holzwarth Culvert Access Road. The Holzwarth Culvert Access Road is approximately 13’ wide with tight turns. Temporary widening will be necessary to prevent truck off tracking on to sensitive environmental resources. A temporary truck turnaround will also be necessary as no construction access is allowed more than 100’ west of the bridge.

The requirement is to replace Circuit #1 and Circuit # 2 to thirteen (13) transmission poles. The contractor will perform the following tasks: Task 1: Cabinet Cutover and Install, Task 2: T-Line Maintenance and Breaker Install, Task 3: Transmission Remediation, Task 4: Other materials as required by the government (ODC).

The Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration issued a combined synopsis/solicitation for investigative drilling in Yosemite National Park to determine pavement and base layer thickness and collect subgrade soil samples. The project is a Total Small Business Set-Aside with an estimated value between $50,000 and $150,000. Work involves shallow borings up to 5 feet and deeper borings up to 20 feet using truck-mounted drill rigs, including site restoration obligations.
