WPAFB 3rd Air Stream/ B18

This project will construct a new, fully functional, industrial, compressed air plant in the controlled access B18 Complex including two centrifugal air compressors (4,000 HP), two industrial, natural gas-fired air heaters (18.1 MM BTU/hr / 55 MM BTU/hr), insulated specialty steel distribution piping (schedule 80-120), valves, and all associated controls and monitoring devices, integrated with the existing control system. The project also includes excavation, demolition/deconstruction and removal of two (2) existing, abandoned, industrial air compressors and existing air distribution piping, valves, and associated structural supports. Significant medium-voltage electrical work and industrial automation system controls replacement and commissioning will be included. Roof work, to include curbs for equipment is included. Minor interior demolition and architectural repairs will be required.
