Sanitary Sewer Main Replacement - Schultz Way project shall include the removal and replacement of a section of existing public, gravity sanitary sewer main, in kind. The scope of work includes removal of the existing main line section, installation and removal of temporary sanitary bypass systems to ensure continued operation of the overall system, removal and reconnection of all existing sanitary sewer lateral service connections, installation of the new sanitary sewer main, connection to existing sanitary manholes and sewer laterals, subgrade improvements, pavement restoration.
Work includes approx 4,000 LF of 8” sanitary sewer; 14 EA of pre-cast manholes; 1,600 LF of 4" and 6" sanitary sewer services, including all materials, equipment, and labor to conduct project pipe installation, traffic control, excavation, backfill, compaction, trench paving, erosion control and all other work
required for complete project.
Work includes cure-in-place rehabilitation of approx 23,500 LF of 48" to 72" fiberglass reinforced plastic sewer mains at various depths and replacement and/or rehabilitation of associated manholes; replacement of three siphon structure lids will be required; bypass of large diameter sanitary sewer mains will be required.
Construction of approx 184 LF of 8" PVC sanitary sewer main by jack-and-bore, grout abandonment of approx 200 LF of existing 8" sanitary sewer main within an existing 16' sewer easement. The project also consists of installation of approx 59 LF of 8" to 12" PVC sanitary sewer main by open-cut methods, sanitary sewer manhole installation, sewer bypass operations, and traffic control.
