Seismic retrofit of the waiale gulch, alae (naalae gulch), and pulehu gulch (pohakuokala) bridges. Improvements include removal of debris from the piers; wrapping the piers with carbon fiber, removal of a portion of the backfill from behind the abutments and backfilling with clsm and tying the abutment to the clsm backfill; replacement of the creep blocks at the bents; pier footing upgrades; installing pavement, pavement markers, and temporary erosion control measures; installing scour countermeasures.
