Runway 18L/36R Tunnel Rehabilitation & Safety Improvements

Description: Project includes rehabilitation and safety improvements to the south airfield drive tunnel beneath runway 18l/36r at cvg. Work consists of concrete slab, wall, and soffit repairs, expansion joint and sealant replacement, slab waterproofing, ventilation roof slab infill, pavement and sidewalk replacement, drainage and storm sewer improvements, and striping and signage replacement; upgrading the tunnel lighting to new led fixtures with a new lighting control system; replacing the existing electrical distribution, panelboards, feeders, and wiring along with emergency power upgrades; replacing the existing ventilation fans with new tunnel exhaust fans, new unit heaters and controls; and upgrades to the fire protection, fire alarm, security, and technology systems for this project.
