Closing soonRFP 26-1553 Provision of Exterior Window Cleaning & Pressure Washing
Description: The City of Calgary (“The City”) seeks a qualified Proponent to provide comprehensive exterior window cleaning and power washing services for various City facilities on an as-required basis. A current list of facilities is included in Appendix F and is subject to change at the sole discretion of the City. While it is anticipated that many facilities may be scheduled for window cleaning, power washing, or both on an annual basis, all scheduling is at the City’s discretion and subject to operational requirements, site access, safety considerations, weather conditions, water restrictions, and other factors. The City makes no representation or guarantee as to the volume, frequency, or timing of work. The City will provide tentative annual and monthly schedules for planning purposes only. Work will only be authorized through confirmed scheduling issued by the City with a minimum of two (2) weeks’ prior notice, or as otherwise agreed in writing. No work shall be performed, and no payment shall be made, unless authorized by the City. Confirmed scheduled work may be subject to cancellation or rescheduling in accordance with the terms set out in this RFP. Except as expressly provided, the Supplier shall not be entitled to compensation for cancellation, delay, reduced volumes, standby time, or other indirect costs. The Proponent is expected to be experienced in the provision of the Deliverables outlined in this RFP and to provide skilled and qualified personnel to perform the services in a timely and professional manner in accordance with this RFP and all applicable laws. The Deliverables include professional cleaning of exterior windows, frames, mullions, and screens, including removal of dirt and debris and proper disposal of wastewater. Performance of the Deliverables may require the use of lifts, ladders, roof anchors, and fall protection systems. Certain facilities may require after-hours work, permits for road closures, coordination with Calgary Transit, and compliance with equipment weight restrictions. The Supplier is responsible for implementing all required pedestrian safety measures, including signage and barricades. All equipment used in the provision of the Deliverables must be properly certified, maintained, and in good working order.
