NCMT Waterline and Valve Repairs

Description: Work generally consists of the removal and replacement of existing 10-inch and 12" water main valves and associated 2-inch bypass valves and piping connected to existing asbestos-cement (acp) water mains at three separate locations. Work includes excavation and trenching; removal and proper disposal of acp pipe segments; installation of new valves, fittings, couplers, and associated appurtenances; temporary water bypass systems; dewatering as necessary; pavement removal and restoration; fire protection permitting and inspections; testing and disinfection of water system components; and all related work necessary to complete the project in accordance with the contract documents. Construction activities shall be coordinated with ongoing terminal, vessel, rail, and military operations to minimize operational impacts.
