Construction of the Midlothian Mines headstock replica at the Midlothian Mines Park, 13200 N Woolridge Rd, Midlothian, VA 23114. The previous timber headstock has been removed. The project will include field verification of the existing foundations, base plates, dimensions, and elevations; removing the existing steel knife plates from the steel base plates and welding the new knife plates are to the existing steal base plates; fabrication and erection of the new heavy timber headstock; fabrication and installation of the custom steel connection plates, threaded rods, through-bolts, and other connection hardware; installation of copper flashing on horizontal timber members and wood-preservative treatments; refurbishment and reinstallation of the existing winder wheels.
