Description: The City of Independence, Missouri Water Department is seeking a qualified contractor to maintain and evaluate the USFilter RJ-2000 Emergency Vapor Scrubber System at the Courtney Bend Water Treatment Plant. The work includes removing and disposing of existing caustic soda, cleaning the caustic soda tank, installing municipally supplied caustic soda, evaluating system performance, and addressing site restoration, safety, labor, equipment, and compliance requirements. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with performance required within 30 days after notice to proceed and any scrubber shutdown limited to five days.
