Central Alabama Water is soliciting sealed bids under BID 26-16-02 for removal and permanent closure of nine existing underground storage tank systems at its Birmingham facility. Work includes pumping and disposal, tank, piping, and dispenser removal, excavation, soil sampling and remediation, backfilling, surface restoration, and ADEM closure reporting, with required safety, licensing, permits, and bid-guarantee requirements. An optional bidders’ conference is scheduled for September 22, 2026, and bids are due October 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. CT; award may be made to the lowest responsive and responsible supplier or suppliers.
