The proposed project consists of replacing the bridge deck, increasing safety, and improving operations of the roadway. The proposed design relocates the existing bridge sidewalk from the east to the west side of the bridge to connect to an existing sidewalk on the southwest approach. A 5' shoulder for a bike lane in the northbound direction improves safety by providing dedicated space for cyclists, separating them from vehicular traffic. This separation reduces the risk of conflicts between cyclists and vehicles.
