East Side Union High School District seeks prequalification of design-build entities/teams to design and construct modernization of districtwide swimming pools at Andrew Hill, Evergreen, and Oak Grove High Schools. Project type: K–12 aquatic facility modernization (design + construction). Estimated construction budget ~$19,000,000. Procurement: two-phase (this RFQ prequalifies teams for a subsequent RFP/best-value selection). Mandatory: California licensure for architecture/engineering/construction, DIR registration, compliance with prevailing wage and skilled & trained workforce (Project Labor Agreement), capacity for required bonds/insurance, and experience with public school, DSA/OPSC, and Title 24 processes. HMC Architects is the bridging architect and is ineligible to join proposers. $7,500 stipend for respondents completing the RFQ/RFP process but not awarded. Contract duration ~30 months.
