City of West University Place - Recreation Center Improvements (Request for Proposals)

Description: Provide construction services for a 2-phase, renovation of the recreation center. The City is planning on renovating the recreation center in 2 phases. The first phase will consist of demolishing offices and lounge area and constructing a portion of the new cardio and weight room. The second phase will consist of demolishing the old cardio and weight room and constructing the remaining new cardio and weight room. Temporary construction barriers will need to be used by the contractor to isolate work zones so that the Recreation center including the cardio and weight room and all adjacent spaces can remain operational. Replacing the corridor and stair flooring should be bid as add-alternate No. 1 as indicated in the drawings to be completed during phase 1. Installing suspended pendent lights and acrylic panels above the vestibule should be bid as add-alternate No. 2 as indicated in the drawings to be completed in phase 1.
